Off-Ice Training

thCABY78G5Off-ice training is essential to the success of skaters in the sport. It’s a way for coaches to teach skaters proper positioning for jumps, spins, in addition to the following:

 

1. Core Stability/Strength Training/Functional Movement
2. Aerobic / Anaerobic Training
3. Flexibility Training
4. Creative Movement / Dance Movement
5. Nutrition & Mental Training
6. Sport Specifics

Off-ice training is as important as on ice training and participation is mandatory in all programs Junior Academy and up. Items to bring to off ice class: yoga mat and water. We encourage skaters to have a proper athletic jump rope as well. 

Skaters MUST have proper athletic footwear for their session and be dressed in athletic clothing.
